Happy Birthday Gabby!

I love seeing the little babies I've photographed grow up! Little Miss Gabby is 1 year old now and full of personality! We had a fun day in the park over the weekend. Gabby is a happy little lady and her fabulous parents are as laid back as any first parents I've ever seen. Happy Birthday, Gabby!

Oh Happy Day!

One of my favorite families... one of my favorite photo sessions.  When the Gardner family contacted me about updating their family photos, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to have the vintage tea party I had been wanting to photograph.  These two girls are just precious and at just the right ages.  Photography is a wonderful way to capture memories... it can also be a great opportunity to create a memory.  Their mom, Abby, and I worked together to set the scene complete with a vintage tea set, flowing fabrics, pillows, hats, jewelry, and, of course, all the "special guests". The girls then had a blast spilling (I mean pouring ;) ), serving, eating, toasting and thoroughly enjoying themselves! I know Abby and Danny will treasure these images as their little ladies outgrow dress up and tea parties.  This moment will last forever.

Sweet Baby James

This lovely family welcomed their second son, James, about 3 months ago.  He looks so much like his big brother, Thomas, with lots of hair, bright eyes and a beautiful smile!  Thomas is a 2-year old on the move!  We did manage to capture that all-important family photo, but we also got some great natural shots that really reflect this time in the life of this wonderful family!

Welcome to the World Emma!

I got my baby fix on Wednesday, getting to cuddle this precious little beauty.  I love being around families who've just had their first baby and witnessing the energy and exhaustion that go hand-in-hand as they begin this great new journey.  Emma is a beautiful baby, bright eyes, lots of hair, precious tiny features. Mom and Dad are naturals and seem as if Emma has been with them all along. Welcome to the world little miss Emma Rives Dale! 

Sweet pup Watson isn't quite sure what to make of the new addition to the family yet, but he found his place in the family portrait!

Marshall and Fleet

On Monday morning, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Marshall and Fleet, the two cuties below. Their mom was frustrated that she hadn't been able to capture good images of them lately because they would either run or make super cheesy smiles every time she pulled out the camera.  Sometimes it just takes someone other than mom to have the camera! ;) These guys were so much fun and they did a great job allowing me to capture a variety of shots including playful smiles, silly faces and a few adorable "serious" looks. I know their dad will enjoy his Father's Day surprise from his two little superheroes!

The Bohmfalk Family

I had the privilege of photographing the Bohmfalk family over the weekend.  I just adore this family.  One pretty mama, 3 sweet fellas and a whole lotta love!  I was reminded of the quote above, and I think this family masterpiece is just beautiful.  The Bohmfalk's are a witness to others in devotion, patience and living purposefully. Griffin and Benjamin were so much fun to work with, both of them serving as assistant directors of this session, coming up with poses, games and great ideas for our morning together. I hope these images will help them all remember this wonderful time in their family's life!

Brayden and Avery

This is my third time photographing Avery and Brayden. I just love photographing children multiple times when they're young, because it gives me the opportunity to see how they grow and how their sweet personalities develop.  Avery is walking and talking a little now. She still has the precious walk that requires hands out to the side to help balance her- I love that stage. And she is either a genius or very lucky because she picked up the "N" train toy and said "N"! She is certainly lucky to have Brayden as a big brother. He is so tender and sweet with her. I feel like they both have a timeless look, and their expressions ofter remind me of children's photos from the 20's. That's why I love the black and white image below. They are adorable little kids with wonderful parents. A joy to spend a Saturday morning with!

The Smolowitz Family

Sunday was a good day. I got to spend the evening with some of my closest friends capturing images to record this special time in their lives. We rolled down the grassy hill, spotted turtles, played and had fun! I've known the Smolowitz family for nearly 6 years. Each child has blossomed into their own little personality, each truly unique and all so complementary of one another. Together, they make one of my favorite families!

The Nanninis

The 6-7 month range is such a great age for a photo session.  A child has so much personality, but is usually not too mobile, providing a perfect combination for wonderful images that truly capture the essence of the child.  That was the case with sweet Owen in our photo session over the weekend. Owen is full of smiles and very curious about the world around him. His mom and dad are smitten with their first-born, and it's no wonder. He is such a happy little guy- and oh those blue eyes!  This first one is sure to get you in the holiday spirit!
