The Switzer Family

I first photographed these little cuties when Emma was 2 and little sis, Anne was about 5 weeks old.  It was so fun to spend time with them and see how the girls are growing up! What a sweet and beautiful family!

Welcome Baby Lucas!

I know I have said before how much I love newborn photo sessions, and this one was no different.  I love being a part of the newness of it all... the tired but delighted parents, the excited big sibling, and of course, the sweet fresh newborn!  Lucas is a precious little guy, so tiny.  He surprised us by staying awake for a very long time during our photo session :) and I was happy he gave me the opportunity to photography those big eyes.  Welcome to the world, Lucas!

The Bonner Family

After a wonderfully busy fall photography season, I have been on a much needed winter hiatus!  What a great way to get back to shooting with this beautiful family. They just happen to be my sister and her handsome hubby and son.  I am so happy to have my family living close by.  Before they were here in Charlotte, they were in Boston. Boston is forever in their hearts, so I especially love the image of the guys with their Red Sox hats on.  I also love the many images we captured showing Jackson as the performer he is! ;)

Lillian and Claudia

I have been photographing these young ladies for several years and all of the sudden they seem so grown up!  We had fun playing in the leaves and wrestling the pups during our photo session.  Their personalities and their sweet relationship really shine through in these images!  Happy Fall!

Charlotte, Emily, Sarah and Sydney

It's been too long since I have posted.  I have had a wonderful and busy fall. I have photographed over 300 preschoolers and lots of young families.  So, you can imagine that photographing these lovely ladies was a nice change of pace.  ;)

It's always fun to work with high school seniors, but even more so when it's a group of friends all having a great time together. Charlotte, Emily, Sarah and Sydney are beautiful through and through.  I was so impressed by these girls, each full of personality and ever so kind!  Best of luck, Senior Ladies!

Waiting for Baby!

The period of time just before a new baby arrives is always so exciting.  And when you already have one child, it's an extra special time with baby number 1 before the family grows.  I enjoyed my photo session with this adorable family over the weekend.  Martha is such a cute little prego mommy and Dorothy is just precious. Dad joined in the fun as well to get some family pictures they will always treasure.

Erin and Josh

One of my favorite sessions ever was this past weekend with the lovely Erin and handsome Josh!  Partly because it's a nice change to work with "big kids ;)" who can be coached ever so effortlessly through a photo session!  But mainly because Josh and Erin are just the greatest kids- kind, polite and beautiful, too!  Their mom has done a great job of having them photographed regularly as they've grown, and she will be rewarded with lovely images to preserve her memories of this wonderful time in life!

"Mamaw's Blessings"

Once upon a time there was a beautiful woman named Jenny.  Jenny had two lovely daughters.  One of those lovely ladies had two beautiful daughters of her own. One of those beautiful daughters also had two adorable daughters!  Now Jenny, this lovely matriarch, has a large, happy family with lots of girls and each of these girls has brought fantastic men into the family.  “Mamaw” is nearing her 90th birthday (I know, it’s hard to believe- this family has some good genes!) and so her family thought it was an appropriate time to have some images made of the extended family.  I love extended family sessions.  These are images that you never catch on your own, and they will be absolutely cherished by so many for years and years to come!

Hip, hip, hooray!  Everyone in this family was a real trooper.  But, after stepping in dog poop, swatting gnats, navigating a couple of temper tantrums (not saying if it was the adults or kids!) and sweating profusely, I think everyone was happy when this session was finally done!
